where to go - what to see - what to doAix-les-Bains lies in the heart of the Savoie department overlooking the beauty of Lac du Bourget. The lake provides the ideal setting for diving, sailing, swimming, walking or just simple relaxation. Relaxation is high on the agenda in this elegant spa town with the original Roman Thermes Nationaux still drawing in the crowds. Opposite the baths you'll find the Temple of Diana which is worth a look for its interesting Gallo-Roman artefacts.
Mont Revard dominates Aix and at an altitude of 1550 metres boasts fantastic panoramas of the Mont Blanc chain. It is also the ideal spot for every winter sport imaginable plus summer activities such as walking and cycling.
